If you want to make predictions about results in 2025 it is way to soon to rest on your analysis. As tarrif threats are enacted and then revoked with a delay, it is hard to know what results will look like at the end of 2025. The aggressiveness of plaintiff attorneys continues to create issues for the market as well. The good news, things seem stable in Texas auto insurance for the most part. In general, rates have lowered slightly.
Homeowner carriers continue to struggle as more rate is needed and CAT losses continue to create chaos, just as we come into storm season. Most certainly expect climbing rates for homeowners.
The 89th legislative session is in full swing in Austin and Alinsco is on the front lines with our lobby fighting to keep auto insurance rates lower in Texas. Numerous bills were introduced which would present negative consequences to Texas consumers if enacted. At some point we may call on our agents to help with calls to local representatives, but at the moment we are positive about keeping many of these bills from becoming laws.
